Hiša Franko

Hiša Franko is an old pink house with shades of red, nestled in the never-ending dense forests of the Soča valley. The nostalgic view over the meadow, with snowy peaks of the white southernmost alpine mountain chain as a background, gives the impression of a faraway place. When you climb on Kolovrat, our Mediterranean terrace, you can spot the golden shine of the Adriatic Sea, with Venice on the right and Trieste with Istria further on the left.

For our dishes and drinks we rock with the seasons, we respect the rules of nature and source the ingredients locally. The only contamination is spices that make everything we serve more fun, surprising and thoughtful.

Aperitivo with a view of the meadows or the fire place, beautifully plated food that represents nature and talent, an underground cheese cellar as well as an organic wine list – this is Hiša Franko and its people.
